for the PSYK-ed
KAP SW Training
at Casas De Sueños
in Albuquerque, NM
October 14-18, 2024

The PSYK-ed training program has been designed to incorporate an experiential component that is integral to the overall process. While PSYK-ed firmly believes that all participants who have successfully passed the screening requirements are capable of engaging in this type of work, it is important to note that neither PSYK-ed nor KTC assume any liability for any claims that may arise from any participant’s involvement in the workshop. The PSYK-ed training program is solely open to licensed and experienced practitioners who possess some degree of familiarity with and are able to consider the potential risks and side effects associated with medications and guiding individuals in non-ordinary states. However, on certain occasions, we do accept individuals without licensure who demonstrate interest and experience that would make this training valuable to both us and them. It is essential to note that if you are a medical, psychological or palliative care professional who is unable to identify and assess the personal risk involved with this training due to a lack of knowledge, experience, and skill set, then this training may not be suitable for you. We are exclusively seeking individuals who attend this training of their own free will and volition, with a comprehensive understanding of the potential risks involved, and who are willing to bear all associated risks to participate in the training retreat. Finally, we would like to emphasize that ketamine, the medicine used during the training, is widely considered to be very safe. Nonetheless, we believe it is crucial for all participants to be aware of the risks involved and to take responsibility for their own well-being throughout the training program.

KAP SW Albuquerque New Mexico
October 14-18 2024
Casas De Sueño

Slated for Albuquerque New Mexico on October 14-18 2024, KAP SW’s location at Casas De Sueños is nothing short of amazing, with perfect timing for an expanded experience steeped in transformation, tradition and culture.

The world renowned ALBUQUERQUE BALLOON FIESTA is October 5-13, allowing early arrivers to experience a magical UPlifting experience.

Also, the first day of the training is on Indigenous Peoples Day, a rare opportunity for attendees to integrate respect and reverence for the original peoples of this sacred land called Turtle Island. Albuquerque and the surrounding pueblos contain the largest concentration of indigenous Puebloan population in the USA.

The Albuquerque International Sunport, is small and easy, with all major airlines offering direct flights from major cities worldwide, including the affordable carrier Southwest Airlines. A short 18 minutes from the airport to Casas De Sueños, KAP SW is accessible and convenient.

The KAP SW’s all in one training location is in the heart of Albuquerque’s Old Town neighborhood (see above). Translated in English as Houses of Dreams, Casas De Sueños is listed in the National Register of Historic Places and offers a former “artist in residence” bed and breakfast experience. Set in a very private “walled in” village of traditional adobe buildings surrounded by lovely shaded communal gardens, the well-appointed south west flavored rooms are decorated with Amado Pena’s artwork, with select rooms having actual wall murals painted by Pena, one of today’s most prolific New Mexican artists.

The 20+ casitas, accommodate 1 to 4 people and are available on a first come first serve basis by calling Lee Ann at (505) 767-1000

Check out their fabulous website: https://www.casasdesuenos.com.

Our KAP SW training center, the Old Town Reception Hall and Events Center, is literally a 30 second walk, across the parking lot from the Casas De Sueños Bed and Breakfast back gate!!!!

Old Town was Albuquerque’s first neighborhood. More than 300 years after its founding, it remains a center for culture, architecture, shopping, art and cuisine. Old Town’s narrow streets and century-old adobe houses are home to New Mexican eateries serving enchiladas and sopapilla pastries, and tiny artisan shops selling jewelry, rugs and pottery. Old Town Plaza is a charming spot overlooked by 18th-century San Felipe de Neri Church. Nearby, the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science has dinosaur skeletons, while the Albuquerque Museum displays Southwestern art.

Ordained and sacred, Casas De Sueños is excited to host PSYK-ed / KTC KAP SW training on October 14-18 in Albuquerque New Mexico. Please join us for another career and life changing experience.

Collaborative Model

The training that is being offered is designed to provide participants with an extensive range of skills, knowledge, and expertise that will enable them to create the perfect set and setting for KAP.

By attending this program, participants will have the opportunity to gain a comprehensive understanding of the therapeutic modalities and tools that are essential for guiding patients who are in non-ordinary states of consciousness.

With this training, participants will be able to create a supportive and nurturing environment for their patients, and help them achieve a greater sense of well-being and personal growth.

TESTIMONIAL

Paul Estrada MSN, APNP, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC

I have been working with Ketamine for over a year now. I work with a Psychiatrist who has been working with Ketamine for a few years and he asked me if I was interested in learning & using this modality of treatment for my patients. He reported patients getting better on this treatment when other treatments have failed. I was curious about this and started to research the medication. We were using low doses while working with the patients and doing psychotherapy (CBT/MBI/MET/FAP) throughout the patient’s journeys (2 q week for 3 weeks). I was surprised how much better patients were getting. We had some incredible results showing more than 80 % of patients improving from KAP. Prior to working with Ketamine, I had patients maxed out on medications with no improvement or hope. I found out about the Ketamine class a few months ago as it was recommended by a therapist with which we share common patients. She told me about KTC offering advanced training through PSYK-ed in New Haven, CT. I wanted to learn what the experts were doing with Ketamine in order to enhance the patients results.

The training was amazing and the variety of people with different expertise was enlightening. Throughout my spiritual walk in the last 30 years, I have pursued personal growth and purpose. Prior to the class, I never put a lot of thought into my spiritual gauge. As a Psychiatry Mental Health provider, I encouraged my patients to seek whatever could be helpful toward their mental health. During the KAP training, I was amazed by the love and camaraderie in the group. It seems we all share a passion for helping people. I was very impressed with the group Ketamine treatment, having everyone on the floor having this experience and thought that I might want to do this in my clinic. The integration of sharing the experience was powerful. Prior to my Journey with Ketamine IM, my sitter asked me about an intention for the journey and, after giving some thought, I told him I want to have more compassion for my family and patients. It was something I had been thinking about. As soon as I got home, I started to think of ways I could implement this modality in my clinic. I did not think much about that particular experience, but after about a month of coming back from the training, I was driving and suddenly I started to feel waves and waves of love, compassion & gratitude and all I could do was cry, cry and cry. I could not remember the last time I cried. It still affects me to this day and I have deeper love & compassion, not just for my patients, but for people in general. I am not sure if the experience catapulted me into a higher spiritual walk or if it is a culmination of my spiritual persistence. At any event, I am not the same person I was before this powerful, life changing experience. I recently opened a Ketamine clinic (KAP) next to my current practice and that was not on my plans this year.
